JAPANESE TATTOO SUNSHINE COAST

Japanese tattoo designs incorporate a range of cultural imagery and styles along with natural elements such as wind, water and earth. They each tell a story, with every item, be it a koi, dragon, peonies, cherry blossom, geisha or hannya, adding to that story to create something more than beautiful designs.

Whether your style is traditional Japanese or you’re looking for modern with neo-trad, Ky can design the right tattoo for you and your chosen placement. Visually different buy both using the same core design elements, traditional Japanese tattoos use fewer colours with a bold style, while neo-trad tattoos use more colours and incorporate textures and depth into each element.

Ky Loh is a local Sunshine Coast tattoo artist specialising in Japanese tattoos and art styles. From traditional to neo trad tattoo designs, Ky has designed unique pieces for people around the world. A connoisseur of all things Japanese art and culture, Ky’s private studio space in Maroochydore allows clients to experience one on one tattoo sessions with comfort and privacy for large or small Japanese, anime, pop culture and even hentai tattoos.

Whilst a bigger Japanese tattoo such as a sleeve or back tattoo tells a better story and flows best with the body, there’s no piece too big or small. To arrange a consult or book in for your next colour or black and grey Japanese tattoo, contact Ky today.

JAPANESE STYLE TATTOOS

If you’re looking for a Japanese tattoo on the Sunshine Coast, Ky Loh will create a piece of art that stands true to a traditional Japanese tattoo design but with that touch of contemporary styling to make it unique. Whether you’re after a traditional irezumi, neo-trad Japanese tattoo or maybe want to create an homage to your favourite anime series, you’re in good hands.

Having studied arts through school, Ky made the move to tattooing in 2014. He mixes his knowledge of traditional Japanese art, love of anime and disturbing number of hours watching hentai to create stand out Japanese and Japanese inspired tattoos.

Much of Ky’s work is hand drawn on the skin, using stencils only for smaller designs or unique elements. Hand drawn flowers such as peonies and chrysanthemum, or symbolism like hannya masks and skulls, work perfectly together with hand drawn wind bars and waves for an authentic touch tailor made to fit your body.
