About Ky Loh
ASIAN STYLE TATTOO SPECIALIST SUNSHINE COAST
Tattooing out of his Private Studio in the heart of the Sunshine Coast, Ky Loh specialises in traditional and neo-trad Japanese designs, with an eye for unique anime and hentai styles. With a massive portfolio including everything from one shot bangers to sleeves and back pieces, Ky has been mentored by some of the industry’s best including Evan Griffiths and Vincent Silver. A regular at local and international tattoo shows, Ky’s contemporary Japanese tattooing has impressed and amazed many both at home and abroad.
KY LOH JAPANESE STYLE TATTOO ARTIST
If you’re looking for a Japanese tattoo on the Sunshine Coast, Ky Loh will create a piece of art that stands true to a traditional Japanese tattoo design but with that touch of contemporary styling to make it unique. Whether you’re after a traditional irezumi, neo-trad Japanese tattoo or maybe want to create an homage to your favourite anime series, you’re in good hands.
Having studied arts through school, Ky made the move to tattooing in 2014. He mixes his knowledge of traditional Japanese art, love of anime and disturbing number of hours watching hentai to create stand out Japanese and Japanese inspired tattoos.
An exceptional artist by any account, what sets Ky apart from the rest is his imagination and ability to take existing media, such as anime, hentai and pop culture, and make it work on the skin. Whether it’s a large-scale project such as a sleeve or back piece, or a smaller design, Ky will ensure perfect placement that flows with the body.
PAINTED MURALS FOR BUSINESSES & HOMES
The idea to produce hand painted murals came from Ky’s start in spray painting and arts training. After (literally) making his mark on the Melbourne art scene and finishing his tattoo apprenticeship, Ky injected what he learned from body art and Japanese styling into art for the wider community to enjoy. From burger shops and cafes to schools, parks and government projects, Ky has been commissioned to enhance a wide range of buildings and structures with his art.
In 2024, Ky teamed up with the guys from Shed Life, and was contracted to bring their massive 40 metre workshop wall to life, along with a collection of car parts for a unique, tattoo inspired finish.
